Ample parking outside the venue.
Direct access to room from the car park
Ample room - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Good staff, very helpful throughout the night
Parking outside venue.
Up 6 large steps into function room. Approx 10m from vehicle to setup space
Smallish room. Setup either in corner or on one side of space on level floor.
Staff are friendly
Cars can be parked out the back of the venue while loading. You then have to move to one of the two nearby ticket car parks which are expensive (expect to pay 10GBP for an evening), but have ample space. Limited head room in both for large vehicles
In 10m through loading bay, up the staff lift (coded and hand operated doors), through reception area into the events space. Events space is massive so it can be 20m walk to 100m walk to the location where you are to set up. Cages are provided for moving equipment though.
Set up area can be in a number of places on the events floor. Venue has portable staging and backdrops so they frequently divide the space up to host multiple functions concurrently or create multiple spaces for a single event. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Staff are very helpful and trustworthy
Easy - ample free parking
Through door into room. Car can be backed up to door - giving 10m from car park to set up area.
In front of fire place in room. Portable wooden dance floor is usually laid out. Space available is not huge as its a large room, not a hall. Sockets are available to left and right of fireplace so its easy to get power. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very friendly, very helpful.
Berkley Square has pay and display parking around the centre and outside. This is available for a reasonable fixed fee overnight from 6:00pm onwards. Ive always been lucky enough to get a space right outside the stairs down to the club
Access is across pavement, up 1 step, through gate, down a set of outdoor stone steps through a narrow door, directly into basement. Set up has always been in the area just beyond the access door in a small nook set aside for performers.
There are several options available for set up depending on agreement with client. There is a small nook available that will take a laptop and small controller or you can set up on the raised areas either near the entrance or at the far end of the room between the doors for kitchen and patio. Limited ceiling height throughout and limited space to set up - dont expect to get a full booth in here, its not that kind of venue! - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Staff are great, event planning team are friendly and helpful and staff generally go out of their way to help out.
Plenty of parking available in the public car park
Car can be pulled up to the access road to the side of the leisure centre. Access is then through kids playground and fire door into cafeteria area. Total walk is about 15m, uneven ground so trolleys can't be used.
Staff clear tables from a good sized area for DJ to set up in corner.
Staff have always been courteous and helpful
Some parking available outside on Park street on pay and display if you time it right. Otherwise it's double yellows on the far side of the road and then move the car to one of the local car parks (10min walk). Car parking is max 2hrs during the day, after 6:00pm it's £2.50 all night
Across pavement, up steps into bar, down tight staircase to basement and then 5-10m depending if you're in the end room or the bar area.
Two options, main bar area at the foot of the access stairs if the tables/chairs are cleared, or small separate room at street end of the bar. Smallest setup possible in both areas, recommend Micro stand or use their table with uplights or 1 wide spread fixture.
Staff have always been helpful and courteous. Finish times vary depending on function. License is until 1:00am. Bar has small PA fitted and they usually put on a iPod after you finish if you're booked to midnight.
Lots of dedicated free parking space. Vehicles can be reversed to main doors temporarily for unloading
Up two steps, through short double width corridor (15m max) and into main hall. Stage is a few feet from main entrance doors
Small stage at front of hall. Approx 10m x 4m deep x 18" high. Unfortunately always has surplus tables stacked at the back of the stage. Small steps at left and right hand front edges - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: 2-3m
Staff are always very helpful.
Lots of dedicated free parking space. Vehicles can be reversed to fire exit for skittle alley temporarily for unloading
Up a short ramp through fire exit and set up area is directly in front of you.
No dedicated area for disco. Set up is usually at far end of room to bar next to skittle alley. Area is usually used as a storage area for excess tables/chairs so usually have to set up a few metres in front of the back wall. Area is flat and level, ceiling height is about 10ft - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 2-3m
Staff are always very helpful.
Parking is limited outside and single track due to parked cars, but you usually get lucky with spaces around 6:00 - 7:00pm. Otherwise you have to block the street to pull up to the doors for access
If you get lucky with parking, it's about 15m walk from the road to the function room down two small sets of steps.
Staff clear an area at the access end of the restaurant area for you to setup. You have a fixed seating bench behind you, but it works. Space is very limited so go with as compact a set up as possible. Venue capacity is about 90 across three spaces.
Staff are awesome, lots of fun and very friendly and helpful.
Plenty of parking on site but able to park van immediately adjacent to side fire door to unload into room.
Easy access - Ramp up into room.
Large stage - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m
Obnoxious Staff! Every time weve been to this venue, two members of staff have been extremely rude to us and the client who has booked the room over the finishing time and when the room has to be vacated by. Despite telling clients (who in turn advise us) of the start and end time of their functions, these two members of staff appear to make their own decisions on the day in question as to what time the music has to stop! This latest function we were told by the client that the centre had told
Parking on site is ample and free
You can drive right up to the fire doors. Theyll then instruct you to set up inside in front of them. Distance from car to set up is less than 5ft!
Small dance floor at the far end of the club and set up is in the corner of this. Dance floor is about 20ft x 15ft total. Set up area & dance floor is unfortunately next to the toilets so youll have people coming and going through the area all night. 4 lights on a T-Bar and one speaker will do it here! - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
No issues with the staff. Friendly enough!
Car can be reversed up to the front door temporarily (disabled parking and emergencies only) and then needs to be moved to the hall car park which is about 100yds up the road. Car park takes about 16 cars and roads are tight, so get there early!
From car park at front access is through front doors, across small lobby area and into the hall. Total about 20m from car to setup with 2 steps to the front door.
Hall is one large space approx total about 10m x 15m in size. All flat with wooden floor. Instructed by client to set up in far corner and due to windows down both sides and storage area behind double doors in far wall there isnt really anywhere else to go. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: 2-3m
Small village mentality, keyholder was a friend of the client so timings were pretty relaxed. Had 75mins to set up and no pressure to clear out.
You can park on the double yellows outside the bar while loading/unloading. Once you're unloaded, parking is tricky. The nearest car park is a 10min walk away and there is limited on street parking in the area.
Easy, through the front door, through the inner door and you're in the bar. 5-10m total.
Set up is at the left hand side of the main bar area in front of the fireplace (tables will be cleared to one side). Smallest rig possible is the order of the day (Micromax or similar) Dance floor is the 8ft or so left in front of you. Bar was in the process of fitting disco lights around the ceiling late 2015 (4 x 1m Bars, 4 x mini Kinta type fixtures)
Bar manager/Landlord is a nice guy and very realistic. Other bar staff are friendly and helpful. Happy to give access code to Wifi.
